1. Government Contribution - the Australian Government provides funding to help cover the cost of your care. This includes:
2. Your Contribution (Fees You May Need to Pay) - you may be asked to contribute towards your care costs through:
Together, these funds cover your care services as well as the package management costs from your provider to organise and manage your package services.
The frequency of visits will depend on your individual needs and the care plan developed by our team. We offer flexible scheduling options to ensure that you receive the care you need, when you need it.
If you're not eligible for government-funded care, don't worry—there are still options available! To discuss your situation, call us at 07 7592 8204 or contact My Aged Care directly at 1800 200 422.
You might also consider private care providers who offer services without government funding. Plus, there are great online resources to help you stay healthy, active, and independent. Check out our Healthy Ageing page for tips on fitness, well-being, and more!
You generally can't receive both Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Package (HCP) services at the same time. This is to ensure that services are available to as many people as possible.
However, in special cases, you might be able to receive short-term CHSP services while on a Home Care Package, but only if your HCP budget is fully used. These services won't count against your Home Care Package budget, but you'll need to contribute to their cost. You might also get urgent access to things like equipment or assistive technology.
To find out if you qualify for these short-term CHSP services, you’ll need a reassessment. You can speak with your Home Care Package provider or contact My Aged Care for more details.Add an answer to this item.
Yes, someone can call My Aged Care on your behalf, but they’ll need your consent first. This means you’ll need to register the person as your representative. The process is easy and can be done by calling My Aged Care together the first time.
