1. Government Contribution - the Australian Government provides funding to help cover the cost of your care. This includes: 

• A subsidy based on your approved package level.
• Supplements if you are eligible for additional support (e.g., for specific health needs. 

2. Your Contribution (Fees You May Need to Pay) - you may be asked to contribute towards your care costs through: 

• Basic Daily Fee - a small daily amount set by your provider (not always required). 
• Income-Tested Care Fee - if assessed by Service Australia (Centrelink) as being able to contribute based on your income. 
• Additional Fees - any extra services or upgrades you agree to. 

Together, these funds cover your care services as well as the package management costs from your provider to organise and manage your package services.

The frequency of visits will depend on your individual needs and the care plan developed by our team. We offer flexible scheduling options to ensure that you receive the care you need, when you need it.

You generally can't receive both Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and Home Care Package (HCP) services at the same time. This is to ensure that services are available to as many people as possible.

However, in special cases, you might be able to receive short-term CHSP services while on a Home Care Package, but only if your HCP budget is fully used. These services won't count against your Home Care Package budget, but you'll need to contribute to their cost. You might also get urgent access to things like equipment or assistive technology.

Yes, someone can call My Aged Care on your behalf, but they’ll need your consent first. This means you’ll need to register the person as your representative. The process is easy and can be done by calling My Aged Care together the first time.
